Multiple SMTP using one Outlook

O

Ola

Hello all,

I hope this is okay here, but I have 4 SMTP Servers, on
my Exchange 2000. So I as a user have 4 email accounts, I
believe that Outlook supports such a scenario, but how do
I configure Outlook 2000 for this kind of setup? When I
send out mail messages, I do not know which email
address, I am using to send the mail out.

I think the primary email account is being used, but I
would like to choose which email account I am using to
send out mail.

Can someone help me out here please?

Thanks

M

You can set 4 profiles, each one accessing one SMTP server.

the (insert latest virus name here) virus, all mail sent to my personal
account will be deleted without reading.

How do you do this please?

I know that Ican add a profile, but how do I choose which
SMTP server to use?

When you set up your profile, select the server you want to use. Why is
this a problem or is there something that you have left out of your posts?
Is this using 4 Exchange servers or 4 ISP accounts? If you are using
Outlook 2000, is it in the Corporate or Workgroup mode or Internet Only mode
(check Help->about-> second line should tell you.)

This is one Exchange Server with Multiple SMTPs in other
words, I am hosting multiple email accounts (Domain) with
One exchange Server. All I did was install Exchange.
After the installation, I now added 3 new SMTP onto the
same system.

For example

Primary email was

[email protected]

additional smtps

are

@def.com
@ghi.com
@jkl.com

What the system shows as the primary account for each
user is abc.

There are users that should not be members of abc, but
when they send out emails, it show up as coming from
abc.com I think because the domain controller is on
abc.com and if the user logs on especially with OWA, they
have to specify this domain.

I am trying to make the email from account to be the
group that the person belongs to.

Thanks
