music in powerpoint presentation stopped playing

Music and sound stopped playing in my PP presentation. I reorganized My
Documents and renamed the orignal PP file and tried to re-insert music from
its new file location, still no results. Any advice would be appreciated.

Well, your links are probably broken. Try putting the sound files in the
same folder with your presentation. Then go into the presentation and delete
the sound files and reinsert them. That should fix the linking issue.

The other problem it could be is a path-length issue. See
