I've been give an older Thinkpad with Microsoft 2000 and Office 2000
Professional. I want to install Office 2003 since it is supported by the OS
but I don't know if I must uninstall Office 2000 first....and how can I
protect what I have should the new install fail?

Hi, megincal,

No, you don't need to uninstall it, but if you choose to, you may need the
original CDs that were used to install it to begin with.
