It is best to post your question in the large white space. Office is a
program suite, or collection of programs. Any of the programs in it can
stand alone. To run an Access database you need to have Access installed on
your computer, unless the database was developed using a run-time version of
the program. If this is the case, double clicking the icon will open the
program regardless of whether or not Access is installed.
