Hi Tom,
Thank You Very Much! You got it right and make me a happy ;o) guy this time!
Your first clues was my error and all the rest of your check-up list are 100% OK.
Here's how I did so others may also benefited:
Open IE-6 and click Tools menu | click Internet Options | click Advance tab | scroll down to Multimedia and put a check mark on Play Sound in Web Pages | Apply | OK.
Now I can hear sound in FrontPage (in Preview mode) and also in my Browser IE-6.
Thank You Tom,
Rino
Check IE Tools | Advanced to make sure you have Play Sound in web pages
enabled and that you sound card/driver, setting for the specific sound file
type enable in your volume control applet and speakers are function
correctly.

Hi Steve, et al,
I understand what you recommended but I don't know how I shall
proceed. I did all I could including press Preview in FrontPage and
also using my Browser IE-6 to view it but still no sound. The sound
tag:
<bgsound src="CloserWalkWithThee.mid" loop="-1">
is always there in HTML code page. It were written by following your
earlier instruction.
Can you please post your easy to follow instruction as before ;o)
Many thanks in advance,
Rino
You need to add the sound as a background sound.
that way it will automatically play, and the animations
will work at the same time.
The best way would be to use a wave .wav or midi .mid
or mp3 as your background sound.
Background sounds are just that, they play without
having to visibly "open" any media player.
Hi Stefan,
I understand what you're saying but I want a web page (HTML) with animation
and sound play together and the WMP could be hidden or not visible. Can this
possible be created in FrontPage? I know it is possible in Outlook Express!
Another thing, can I check or preview animation and sound inside FrontPage
by pressing Preview tab? I did this and no sound coming out but it is
written in HTML code page:
<bgsound src="CloserWalkWithThee.mid"
loop="-1">
Or could you please tell me how you check sound in FrontPage?
Many Thanks also to Steve, Mike & Tom,

That's the way the web works
- the active page takes focus (WMP) and your other page loses focus
(animations) after an on click event

Hi Steve,
First I must say a BIG Thanks for your easy to follow instruction.
Secondly, I don't know what is wrong I can not hear any sound.
Can you find what's wrong, I follow all your instructions and I even
tried select the other 2 choices given under Platform, Server & Client
drop down choices --- still nothing happen. I press Preview tab to hear
the music but no music come out. ;o(
Another thing, if I put a music pop-up song title on the page and when
click open a Windows Media Player play the music correctly BUT all my
GIF animation images stop their motion and I have to exit and reopen
the page again.
I wish I could fix it if only I know how.
Regards,
Rino
I'm not an MVP, but...
First, set the page compatibility to custom.
FrontPage toolbar. Tools > Page Options >
Compatibility, and set all to Custom.
Then right click the page, select Page Properties,
and on the General tab select the background sound.
