MVP site search syntax

I typed the following phrase into the Word MVP "Search for:" box:

Auto and Space and (Before or After)

and got this error message:

The query contained only ignored words.

What's wrong with that query?

Just guessing:
"before" and "after" are ignored by the search engine. So you get no hits
for "(before or after)".
At this point the search engine can quit, since there can't be possibly
hits for the complete search either.

The MVP site isn't so large that you'd usually need such complicated
expressions.

Also, I believe you have to capitalize AND and OR for them to be interpreted
correctly.

I thought that might be the issue, too.
But the examples given on the page use small caps.
And some tests showed no difference.

Klaus
