my back slash comes up as an e why

I am having trouble with my keyboard...three keys don't work properly..the
backslash come us as an e and the apostrophe comes up as a c and the keys to
the right of the letter p come up some type of symbol..everything else on the
keyboard works fine how can I fix this problem

Ok, I have an Access question then...

When using Access...

Clever but still missed the point, because your keyboard trouble may still
not be related to Access. Are you having the keyboard trouble only while
using Access?? If not, it sounds as if you should be clever enough to figure
out that it's not an Access question.

<Chuckle> Well, at least you have a sense of humour! A chuckle is worth a
suggestion:

Have you checked the regional settings for your computer? If these are set
to a language with a non-roman alphabet, perhaps that is messing with your
keyboard...

And if it's not regional settings, it's probably a hardware fault. If
possible, try swapping keyboards with another PC. If the problem follows the
keyboard, it's probably a hardware problem. If it doesn't, it's probably a
software configuration problem.
