My Clipboard in Word doesn't Work!!!

I have MS Word 2003. I try to copy text, but the information doesn't go
onto the Office clipboard and pasting does nothing.

Now, if I'm in PowerPoint, there is no problem. I don't know what's
going on, but I would like to be able to cut/copy-paste again.

Does anyone have a suggestion!

I don't know what you mean. Yes, Word is open, and no, it never works.
I select text, and it never gets copied to the clipboard.

Should I haave my IT department re-install Word or MS Office?

Two possibilities come to mind:
1. If you are using the Ctrl+C keyboard shortcut to copy, then
possibly the keyboard shortcut has been reassigned to another command.
2. You might have a Word macro named EditCopy that intercepts the
copy command.

If either of the above is the problem, then reinstalling Word or Office
will not help.
