My Computer Freezes or Reboots when in Office 2003

I recently upgraded my machine to Office 2003. Now whenever I open an Office
2003 application (Word, Excel, Outlook) my computer either freezes or
immediately reboots.

Any suggestions would be helpful.

office also functions in safemode.

boot into safemode and see
if they function better there....
