my counter will not reset to 0

Reset the counter on the live page and click Save.

Yep,
Was going to post that, but didn't because It will
then reset the counter with every publish unless it's
changed back.

I stumbled on this thread and have a similiar problem: I want to reset the counter to a higher number. I do not know how to "Use Frontpage to open the live site on the server.

Please advis

File Menu | Open Web and then enter URL for the live site as
http://www.yourdomainname.com then your login info, click OK, then click
open. Then look in the _private folder for the pagename.htm.cnt of the page
with the counter, change the number, but not the number of digits or format.
