my database not running properly from my backup file on CD

Hi,

When I backup my database (Access 2002 running in xp sp2 platform)
by burning the file onto my CD, why is it that I cannot run the file from
my CD properly ?

For example when i use a search function in my database I receive
a message that says cannot delete, or some other strange messages.
Note that when I run it from CD it says "read only".

How can I back up my file, if it appears to not have been properly
copied to a CD ? Or is this becuase its on a CD, and needs to be
copied back onto the harddrive to funtion exactly the same ?

when you burn a file to CD, the file is automatically made read only
ergo copy it back & remove the read only flag to use it
