My decision on "Need an opinion" thread

J

JL Amerson

I decided I would have been in waaaaaaaaaay over my head with Visual Studio
Tools. If down the road I decide that I'm ready for a huge challenge, then I
can make my purchase at that time. For now, maybe I'll stick to learning
about Shared Borders and Include pages.

Thanks to everyone who helped me stay out of the deep end of the FP pool.

Forget about Shared Borders, learn to use FP Include Page for more
flexibility. If using FP2003, then learn about the Dynamic Web Template
(DWT) and FP Include Pages.

The more I compare Visual Studio with what I know
about FP2003 ( which isn't much ) FP2003 is "much"
more powerful / capable than most people realize.

( excepting scripting languages, dll and exe creation that is )
