My default dictionary is Australia. I need to remove the US one.

My default dictionary is English (Australia). However, the English (US)
version always comes up when I do a spell check. I can't remove it, nor can
I add the words on the English (US) version and it's driving me nuts!!!!!!

Please let me know how I can remove the English (US) dictionary version once
and for all. I'd like to spell the Aussie way only when producing my
documents.

Have you tried adding the Australian dic and selecting it as default?

Tools, Options, Spellings and Grammer

Now click on Custom dictionaries.

From the drop down list at the bottom select English Australian (Not All
Languages)

Now make it default.

OK

Thanks for responding Anonymous. Yes, I've done all of that, but my laptop
always goes to the US spelling first. It's very annoying.......

Thanks for the tip Millie. I had already tried what you suggested, however,
in spite of trying both UK versions and the international and normal US
keyboards, I still have the same problem.......

Does anyone else have a suggestion I could try please?
