my DWT will not publish

How do i verify it is looking in the correct local file. If I click on my
HOME page is shows the DWT but when published it is not there?

Is the page that you published on the site? Did you try going to the
absolute URL? If by chance this is the case did you create a "home" or
"default" page with the proper name (e.g. default.html, index.html,
default.htm, etc)
