My email notification envelope no longer works when I receive new

Our network was upgraded recently and I think since that time my Outlook new
mail envelope icon no longer works. I still get the transparent new mail
notification, however. I don't know what could have caused the envelope icon
to stop appearing. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
