My inbox doesn't show whether a message was forwarded

After removing and reloading Outlook 2003, my inbox no longer indicates that
a message has been forwarded or replied to, when in fact these have occurred.
Is there a way to trigger the display of the messages that have been
forwarded, etc.?

Outlook is pulling messages from msn.com (http).

I do not believe HTTP accounts show the forwarded or replied icons.
