My messages are auto deleting after I open an email

OK, I open my email, Click on a message, it opens slowly then deletes the
message (not to be found in deleted or Junk) then open the next message and
repeats the delete process

Without any details it is hard say what is going on.
Could it be that you have a filter set to view unread messages only?
