My Office program is missing file stdp11n.msi

I accidently deleted the file stdp11n.msi and have been looking for a way to
fix it for over a month now and have only found that other people have had
similar problems but no one has had any luck getting that file back so they
can use their Office programs. I am in desperate need of Microsoft Word for
my college homework and can not use the program to write or even view
anything. I can not get into any of the other Office programs either like
Excell or anything but for now I just need Word. I am currently using WordPad
and it is messing up everything and reformatting my work so it is making it
hard for my teachers to view my work as well. Please someone help me and tell
me how I can copy just this file and if it will work after that or what needs
to be done.. For now I have just the trial version I got when I ordered my
computer but it is still good through the end of January and I dont have the
money this month to but Word or Office. What can I do??? PLEASE HELP ME..

I presume the trial version that came with your computer was preinstalled
and you have deleted the install files? You need to download the trial
version from Microsoft Office site and reinstall from that.

Do I need to uninstall the microsoft office in my computer now? and then
download a new trial from here?

If you download the Office 2003 trial (only available in NA), then you can
simply run setup from the download and it will see your currently
installation and offer to repair it. If it doesn't work, then possibly you
may have to uninstall and then do a fresh reinstall. But my guess is that
you will not be able to run uninstall as the current installation is
damaged.

I am facing the same problem.

I cannot uninstall Office Small Business Ed 2003 that was bundled with my
Viao because STDP11N is missing (no discs were supplied).

I live in Europe, so do you have any idea how I can obtain the file in order
to complete the uninstall?

Thanks

Try doing a repair install from the Windows Add Remove Programs facility in
the Control Panel. Then, upon completion of the repair, remove it.

Hi Tom

Thanks for the advice. This fails too as it returns the patch is invalid.

Is the file STDP11N.MSI available in Europe?

Thanks
Mike

Sorry, I don't know.

Plan 2: Download the trial version from Microsoft Office site and reinstall
from that.
