My outlook 2003 hyperlinks are disabled after office sp3

running xp sp2 all my hyperlinks in outlook will open an IE7 window but go no
further than the IE7 homepage not on to the destination. This occurred right
after installing Office 2003 SP3, any suggestions?

Same thing happened to me. Selecting any hyperlink in an Outlook 2003 e-mail
message brings up IE7 with my default home page.

I hope that I do not have to uninstall/reinstall Office 2003. This will be
the 4th time after having 2 HDS crash, catching a virus, etc..

After a great deal of searching, I found quite a few discussions that say
that the solution is to make IE your default browser. After performing the
following the instructions:

(1) Open IE7 -> Tools -> Internet Options -> Programs Tab
(2) See if the "Default Web Browser" is IE.

In my case IE7 was the "Default web browser". I checked the "Tell me if
Internet Explorer is not the default web browser" box. I then selected the
"Make Default" buton.

That did the trick and hyperlinks now work in Outlook 2003 e-mail messages.
