My outlook 2003 minimizes to the taskbar and will not restore.

Has anyone had this issue where outlook minimizes to the toolbar upon opening
and then will not restore or close or do anything after that. This is
outlook 2003 on an xp professional client, that is using exchange server
2003. Any ideas?
