My outlook messages show the wrong email address !

We use Outlook 2003 sp2 and have a small LAN with 3 workstations using a
Server SBS 2003. We are set up to send emails via Microsoft Exchange Server
and never send email to ourselves, only to "external" addresses in the
outside world ! When we send emails to outside the LAN they always show the
local email address, ie (e-mail address removed) so anyone replying to our
emails will get an "address unknown" message. How can I change the return
address on our emails so that it shows our external address and not the
internal local address. I have been told it can be done, but I can't figure
it out ... Roger

That's not an Outlook question but an Exchange question. You'll have to
change your default email address on the SBS server to your external
address.

1. The admin needs to add the external SMTP address to the mailbox in the
management console. It can be done for everyone with a recipient policy.

2. You can use this address for internal mail too, as long as you are
sending via exchange and not a pop acct in Outlook (well, you could use the
pop acct to send it, but it would leave the server and come back)
