My outlook sent a spam email to all my contacts

Somehow Outlook sent a spam email to everyone in my contacts. Did someone
hack my computer or do I have some kind of virus? How did this happen and
how do I prevent it from happening again?

The subject line said "Good Shopping Good Service!" and in the message it
told people to go to a webite www.bj-trade.com

Hi,

If your email is hosted by ISP, most likely that your PC is compromised by
Trojan.

If you use organisation email, ask your mail admin to see if there is open
relay somewhere.

First thing you should do is scan your computer for malware.

Next, investigate if the spam messages *really* came from your computer,
or if it was just your email address that was spoofed into the 'From'
headers. Recipients of the spam message can examine the message headers,
and see if the originating IP address was that of your IPS's mail server.

You may also ask your ISP's support desk for advice.
