my outlook wont send or recieve,task window shows 0 of 0 tasks

im using express at the moment.
i want to use outlook, but when i goto send and recieve, the tasks window
opens but there is no tasks in there?
it says at the bottom left
"0 of 0 tasks completed succesfully"
puzzled?
