My outlook wont stop synchronizing

I tried to send a huge 56MB email. I realized it wouldn't work after about
an hour so I cancelled the email. Now when I send an email the bottom of the
screen where it shows if I'm connected or not reads "Preparing to
Send/Recieve" and won't go any further than that. What can I do?

Try setting OL to offline mode (File menu)
Shutdown OL & wait a while
Restart OL
Delete msg
Set to online mode
Shutdown OL & wait a while
Restart OL & set to online
Shutdown & wait, restart
