my printer prints with diferent margins

I have just installed my «old» hp printer 840C on my latpop, and since the
installation CD didn't work, I had to get the driver(??) from the net. I am
not sure I installed it correctly since the pages don't show the same margin
(the white at the end of the document is much bigger). Can anyone help me?

Windows has its own driver for the HP640C. Use that for preference.
Invetitably there will be differences between drivers, but the error you
mention is a known problem with HP printers and corrective drivers for some
printers are available at http://www.hp.com/pond/ljbeta/. See if yours is
listed.
