My Project Views

In our Project Server Deployment, all categories can "View current and future
projects" from executives to team member categories because they want every
project open to all. However a problem is that they want some projects not
visible to other members except for themselves only. This conflicts with the
category setting i mentioned earlier.

The solution i see is to create a project outline code "Publish Type" with
the ff. values (Private/Public). If Public then the project is published for
every one to view otherwise you set it as Private.

I modified all Project center views so that "Public" project are only shown.
To view their own project i plan to create a "My Projects" view listing all
MY private projects however i cannot filter users to see project created by
[Me]. (In sharepoint i can create views with similar functions, i hope i can
create one in PWA too)

Is it possible to create a project center view that displays only projects
that i am the author or owner?

Another solution i see is to create a folder with certain permissions to who
can access it and store projects into it. Just like a document library but
again this is Project Server not sharepoint.

Any help???

If you wish certain people to be limited to viewing only certain projects in
PWA, you would need to do the following:

1. Remove them from any of the Groups to which they currently belong
2. Create a custom Category that gives permission to see the specific
projects
3. Create a custom Group and add the people in question to this new Group
4. Add the new Category and the My Organization category to this group
5. In the Category section, select each Category individually and set the
Permissions using the Project Managers template
6. Set the Global Permissions for the new Group using the Project Managers
template

Hope this helps.
