my sent emails are stuck in my outbox. Why?

for some reason all of my emails i'm trying to send are landing in my outbox
and are not being sent. can you help me resolve this?

Hard to say without configuration information.
Version of Outlook?
Type of mail account?
Are they to big?
Is Outlook in on-line mode?
Which Send/Receive errors do you get?
If you have a virus scanner that integrates with Outlook, disable it and try
again.
