My "Spellcheck" doesn't work. How can I fix it?

As my subject says, my "spellcheck" is not working. Can this be corrected?
How?

What exactly do you mean 'doesn't work'? What happens when you press F7?
What happens if you select spelling and grammar under Tools? Does this
happen with all documents? Have you tried creating a dummy document full of
spelling errors?

With your document open, press Ctrl+A (select all).
Select Menu item, Tools>Language>Set Language.
Select your language at the next window (i.e., English (Canada)).
Be sure to uncheck "Do Not Check Spelling or Grammar".
Click the OK button.
