I can set the preferred width in either a table stye (I created a new one
from Normal) or in the Table Properties dialog box, but in will not stay at
the number I enter. At some point all the tables get smaller in width, and
when I go back to the Preferred Width check box I will find it either blank,
or with a different number in it. Resetting it resized to the tables to what
I wanted, but it's for nothing because it will happen again at some point and
certainly if I close the document.
I have contacted phone help. They accused my document of being corrupt so I
started from scratch this year-same problem.
