Hi...

In task setting & disiplay, i choose "Actual work done and work remaining."
if i read in article...progress task will show 1d of 4d (25%).
But in my task didn't show like that...still show in progress (% complete).
if i miss something here? should i update for infrastructure?

Gerard....

thanks for you easy explanation.
i still have one problem which still bother me...
can we set many timesheet manager for one project?
i mean i want resource will submit and ask approval to their functional
manager as their timesheet manager?
so maybe in one project there will resource from
A Departement
B Departement
C Departement
and every departemen have functional manager that i will set as timesheet
manager...
i already tried, but still failed :)
i set resource A in resource center his/her timesheet manager Manager A
Departement, and so with another resource....
can project server 2007 do this?
if yes..can you direct me how to do this??

so many thanks for you help...

Reza,

The Timesheet Manager is specified at the Resource level in PWA. So you
probably have already several Timesheet Managers interested in your project.

Reza:

Which version are you using? "Timesheet" has a very different meaning in
2007 than it does in 2003. Project Server 2007 has both timesheets and task
statusing which are separate and different functions, although you can move
time reporting data collected in the timesheets feature into the My Tasks
page for project statusing. In 2007, you can have multiple timesheet
approvers and you can have multiple task update approvers for task status in
a single project. It is much more flexible than 2003 in this regard.

thanks gerard & gary for you response...

i'm using PS2007.
this is what i did, for every resources i set their timesheet manager to
functional manager.
and for functional managers i tried all possible in security group...because
maybe that functional manager will be one of executives, project manager,
team lead or even become team member.
so in security categories for setting permission i set allow that functional
manager for "Approve timesheet" and "Accept timesheet" even they will become
executives or project managers or team leads or team members.
but when i tried only one have succesfully to approve resources timesheet
which is the first functional manager that i set as timesheet manager, others
failed with message : "Next approver cannot be either owner or previous
approver".
should i set RBS first or there is mistake about my steps...
nice to hear your response....

many thanks for ur help

i set timesheet manager for functional manager to his/her self....so
functional manager doens't have timesheet manager.
and i already try to add resource manager to her/his group...but still
failed :(
anyway...he/she can reject timesheet but can't approved
