My tasks - submitted or simply saved

Hello,
In My tasks, how can I know if the tracking on a tasks is submitted or
simply being saved ?

There is no visual indicator on the My Tasks interface apart from when
you submit or save, it gives you a message (in Red) at the bottom of
the grid. One can click on the task and view the task history and it
will tell you all the info but that involves one more click.

if someone knows how to add some sort of visual indicator on the my
tasks interface, please share.

ARe you referring to the TAsks page in PWA? Are you using 2003 or 2007? In
2003, when you submit a task update, there will be a graphical indicator that
looks like a small grid with a question mark. If you hover your mouse over
the indicator, it will tell you when the task was submitted to the Project
Manager.

Unfortunately if you are using 2007, I am not yet familiar with the interface.

One thing I have noticed in the 'My Tasks' is that if time has been entered
against a task and 'Saved' versus 'Submitted' there will be an orange/red
explanation point next to the task. If you mouse over it, it will say 'update
has not been submitted.' If you enter time and then submit all indicators are
green.

Hello TLBartz and thanks,

I have check on your info and here is what I observed:
- there is a green exclamation mark when task is considered as NEW (i.e. you
never opened/edited the task specific window)
- When update is simply saved: exclamation mark is Orange (Update has not
been yet submitted"
- When submitted there is no more visual

Now, I didn't see any visual indicator when submission is accepted or
rejected !!
I have tried both (accept and reject) and it doesn't seem to display
anything on the My tasks windows.

Anyone to confirm/correct my observations.
