My Tasks - unexpected error

Barbara - Austria

One user is receiving an unexpected error when trying to display My Tasks.

I ran the sql script to have it check for corrupt tasks assignment that
others have posted for the same My Tasks error, but none are returned.

All projects with assignments for this user had been re-published.

I updated the web.conf files so that the error message displays additional
information (sorry for some German words in between):

System.Web.Services.Protocols.SoapException: ProjectServerError(s)
LastError=GeneralUnhandledException Instructions: Pass this into
PSClientError constructor to access all error information

Beschreibung: Unbehandelte Ausnahme beim Ausführen der aktuellen

thanks for quick response. He is seeing the 'Classical'

We had that some times in the past caused be assigning additional ressources
to task with actuals. Projectmanager is not doing that any longer. Moreover
SQL statement shows no 'wrong' assignments.

I have also already deleted web-part and put it back. I did also a restartof
IIS.

Do you have any ideas?

Barbara:

When you say you republished the projects, how did you do that? If you
simply open the project and hit the Publish button, it does not resolve the
problem. Instead, you must un-publish the project then re-publish. To do
this, you must insert the Publish column into your task view, such as the
Gantt Chart view, and set the values to no, then click publish. After you do
this, set the fields back to yes and publish again.

Gary,

I have written a message to the projectmanager to do so. Unfortunately we
have a holiday tomorrow and most people will have a day off on Friday. So I
have to stay patient until Monday. Thanks a lot in the meantime!

Gary,

thanks Unfortunately it took me some time to convince the PM to force
re-publishing as you described. Finally he did yesterday and everything is
working now. Thanks a lot for your help!
