My Timesheet and My Tasks pages do not display

Hello EPM Community:

We have recently installed MOPS 2007 into an existing MOSS farm. We
also installed SP1, the Infrastructure Update, and Timesheet Tied Mode
v1.5 from CodePlex. We did NOT install the Aug or Oct Cumulative
Updates.

When we go to My Tasks or try to view a created Timesheet, we get a
SharePoint error screen. It indicates that an "unexpected error"
occured, and give us the option of going to the Web Parts Maintenenace
Page to teporarily close the Web Part or to troubleshoot with Windows
SharePoint Services.

All other pages in PWA behave just fine. It's only these two pages
we're having trouble with.

I have never seen this before, and I can find no mention of it in this
group (or anywhere else, for that matter). Has anyone seen anything
like this? Any suggestions on where to start?

TIA,

AB

Hi,

to do a better analysis, please enable debugging for the SharePoint Web
Application in the web.config and paste the error message including call
stack here.

Best,

Hi Renke,

Thanks for the suggestion. However, I'm embarassed to admit I don't
know how to enable debugging in the SharePoint site. I've found the
webconfig.pwa.xml file - can you provide some guidance on what to do
next?

Also, I have turned on ULS for verbose logging. I don't see anything
helpful there, but will continue plugging away at it as well.

Thanks!

We enabled debugging in the SharePoint app, but have not been
presented with any error messages. We have ripped our our entire MOPS
installation and started from scratch. Does anyone have any
suggestions for how to resolve this?

Just to follow up on this - we discovered that one of hte MOSS WFE
servers in our farm had not been upgraded to the Infrastructure
Update. This, apparently, was causing the entire issue. We upgraded
the entire farm from IU to Oct Cumulative Update, and the issue went
away completely.

The lesson is: make ABSOLUTELY sure all boxes in the farm are at the
same level of upgrade. This is simply patch management and is
certainly not news, but if you blow it, you cause yourself all sorts
of chaos.
