My underlines don't show up in my PP presentation?

We use Powerpoint 2003 to present our F/S at various events and I copy and
paste them into P/P from Word and the underlines show up when I'm editing the
statement but when I view them as a slide show the lines are gone. How do I
keep the lines showing up.
