My version of office doesn't contain visio

I use visio at college on a much older version of microsoft office than on my
home computer. Despite being assured when I purchased my computer 6 months
ago that my version of office was top of the line it seems to contain every
office program except visio. I've spoken to friends who don't have it either
so is Visio only available as part of Microsoft Office to Business' and
institutions?

Visio is not tied to any version of Office 2007. You have to buy Visio as a
stand-alone product.

Like Project, Visio is part of the Office family, but is not available in
any of the Office suites.
