My Word 2003 will not allow me to add page numbers, how do I?

When I click on insert, the page number option is not highlighted. I have
used this many times on documents before we loaded Microsoft Office Word 2003
on our new computer. Any ideas on how to fix this?

Word 2003 has various Views. You can insert Page Numbers in Normal and Print
Layout View. You cannot insert page numbers in Outline, Web or Reading
Layout. Could this be the answer to your problem?
