Mystery line in header

I inherited a long document that has a horizontal line in the header. It
looks like it belongs there - I just want to be able to change the size,
color, etc. I don't know how to get at it. I can't click on it or drag above
and below to get it. What is this thing?

Can you access it when you have the header pane open (View | Header and
Footer)? It is probably either a drawing line or a paragraph border.

I suspect it's a paragraph border. As the previous post says make sure
you've got View>Header/Footer and that your cursor is in there!!

Click on the borders buttons to add/remove lines, that should do it!

If you want a line of a specific length/size I'd use the drawing tools
to do that.

No - can't touch it. I remember a few years ago I came across the same thing
in somebody else's doc. Just can't remember what it is.

Perhaps it's a drawing line created in the document body and placed in the
header area?
