name from document is added to footer automatically

Setting up a report format. want to enter the name once and have it appear
in the correct place on the document --not a problem, but also to have it
appear in the footer so that the second pages carry an indication of the
person referenced.
Do I use a template? is there a macro that will do this for me? ??

Bookmark the original occurrence of the name, then use a REF field to insert
places where you want the name to be duplicated. Select the name and choose
Insert - Bookmark. To insert the ref field, from the menu, choose Insert -
Reference - Cross Reference. Set Reference type: to Bookmark, etc.
