Name inserted when I edit an email

When I edit an email, especially one that was forwarded to me or that I am
replying to, my name is inserted automatically if I make any changes to the
original text. Is there any way to turn this off?

It depends which version of Outlook you are using. In 2000/2003, click
Tools -> Options -> Preferences Tab -> Email Options button.

At the bottom of this window, you will see options for forwards and replies.
This is where you determine how Outlook handles text you enter when you
forward or reply to an email. You can turn these all off so that your name
no longer appears.

If you have a different version or this doesn't help, please reply!

Thanks! This worked. However, my edits are still a different color, can
this be changed as well? btw, I am using Outlook 2003. Lori

Yes it can:

Tools -> Options -> Mail Format tab -> Fonts button.

In there you can set the fonts for each type of email you are sending.

Hope this helps!
