Name of color for a particular colorindex number

Hi,

Yesterday I asked about a method to find the glossary for all the color
index values. There were so many helpful postings on the same

I want to know is there is any method which will tell me the name of the
color along with the colorindex value and a demonstartion of the color.

a) That is from Cells A1 to A56 the Colours are there.

b) Then, in cells B1 to B56 the color index values of the colors in column A
are there.

c) Then in cell C1 to C56 the name of the colors in column A are there. (
Though not colorblind, I find it difficult to distingusih between the
various colors available).That is if cell A2 has white Fill color then C2
has its cell value as "White" and so on.

In yesterday's post on this related topic William , Harald and Doug had
provided solutions for a) and b) points.

I want to know if c) is possible.

Hari,

The colorindex value is easy to get from a cell, but a colour is much
harder. In Excel, a colour palette has 56 colours, but the colour 3 in one
workbook could be red, but in another the colour 3 might be blue. When you
hover over a colour in the colour palette, you will see it's name in the
tooltip. If you change the colours, you will see the correct colour
displayed if you use a standard colorindex colour, but if you change it to a
non-standard colour, it shows colour scheme. This seems to be all in Excel,
and not available to the object model.
