'name of spreadsheet' function... please help

I am looking for a function/formulae that will return the name of the active
workbook (i.e. the name of the file I am working on). Can anybody help?

Try

Full path and filename
=CELL("filename")

Filename only
=MID(CELL("filename",A1),FIND("[",CELL("filename",A1))+1,FIND("]",CELL("filename",A1))-FIND("[",CELL("filename",A1))-1)
