Narrated PowerPoint - Going back to previously viewed slides

I am interested in capturing the audio of a live PowerPoint presentaion
using the narration capability of PowerPoint. If during the course of the
presentation I go back to a previous slide (due to perhaps a question from
the audience) the original audio is overwritten. Is there any way around
this? Can I capture the original audio for the slide AND the audio for the
slide that relates to the question from the audience?
