narration from single audio file

I know when you record a narration in Powerpoint it saves a narration fil
for each slide. The problem is that the narration must be recorded from the microphone live
Is there a way to tell powerpoint that the narration is coming from an existing sound file and it will link each slid
automatically? I need to do this so I can make the powerpoint presentation be playing on the web and have the audi
play on each slide. Right now I have a powerpoint show that has an audio filed linked on the first slide and I set it up to play throughout the presentation. On my computer it plays great when it is linked on the web the audio only plays on the first slide and cuts out when it automatically goes to the next slide

Thank

Not that I know of, but here's a devious thought:

Record your narration and choose the linked files option.
As I recall, it's fairly obvious which recorded WAV goes with which slide
once you're done.
Suppose the sound file for slide three is named something like SLIDE_3.WAV
Take your own preferred sound, rename it SLIDE_3.WAV and copy it into the
folder that PPT has created for sounds, letting your file overwrite the one
PPT made.

The link PPT created will point to SLIDE_3.WAV, but that file's content is
now your alternate sound, not the dummy recording.

Make sense?

I need to do this so I can make the powerpoint presentation be playing on

goes to the next slide.
