Nav buttons are not displaying

Can anyone help me? I've applied a theme to a website,
and altho my nav bar is there, the buttons shown with the
theme do NOT appear (instead, there is simply the
hyperlinked page names). I've been messing with it for
over an hour with no luck. Does anyone know how to fix
this? Thanks!!
