I had the same problems.
I bet your updates on the server side take very long and
sometimes they time out.
I switched to another ISP and all my Frontpage problems
disappeared. A change in one page is now updated after I
upload it within 1 or 2 seconds. Before it could take
minutes if it worked at all.
Let me know if you want to know what ISP I switched to.
I switched to an ISP with excellent support, no
overloaded servers, free shopping cart, unlimited
traffic, etc. Now I pay 99 Dollar a year, more than
before, but I spend less time worrying that my FrontPage
is faulty.

it. Then change it back to your original them you had.
Save it. Upload it. If you are lucky, it works.
