Navigation pain (spelling is correct)

I have enjoyed working in the Page view while the list of
pages are in the left panel. I have recently installed
FrontPage 2003. After a couple of weeks, suddenly a
Navigation Pane appears at the left of the window. Yes, I
can close it, but can't get the list of pages to
reappear.

Is there a setting that I am missing.

Choose Folder List from the View menu.

Is there a permanent setting. The toggle is always set
the opposite of the desired setting requiring extra
fiddling each time...

Use the Navigation/Folder list toggles at the bottom of the Navigation

In folder view, the file list will always display.
In page view, there is no default - it remembers the last setting and uses
that.

The default is the setting in effect when you last closed FrontPage.

If you have more than one FrontPage Window open, its the setting
in effect when you close the last one.
