navigation tabs not active on website

When I publish my pages to the web, some people can't see the navigation tabs
at the top or the bottom. They are apparently showing up as empty boxes, and
are "not active". One of the people not seeing the tabs is using IE. I've
tested it in IE and Mozilla, and both seem to work fine from my end. Any
suggestions?
Thanks!

oops - the website is: http://www.creomundiINTL.com (that's: creomundi
followed by INTL.com)

If you are using Publisher 2003 or earlier

Create a web site with nav bars etc.
Saved web site as "My web site.pub"
With the pub page open
Ctrl a (selects all)
Arrange > Ungroup
This insures that all groups are ungrouped
This must be done on ALL pages individually
Re-Saved using Save As "My web site NBUG.pub"
I take the step to "Save As" so that when I shut down publisher and I get a
prompt to save my changes I do NOT overwrite the master file "My web
site.pub" accidentally.
Publish to the web
FTP to the server
Web site works using IE 8

If a change, update is required or a page is added
Open with "My web site.pub"
Make changes
Follow the above suggestions
BTW NBUG = "Nav Bars Un Grouped"

If you are using Publisher 2007 try installing SP3

Alison,

You may have ungrouped all the objects on the page, but the web files
currently loading has the navbars still grouped. Perhaps you did not upload
the new web pages that you produced after ungrouping? Perhaps you need to
delete the old web files off the server before uploading the new.

Bottom line is that if you view your homepage in IE7 it renders ok. If you
view it in IE8 neither of the navbars render because they are still grouped.
"Grouped" objects do not render in IE8. If you view the homepage in FF, then
you should notice that though the bottom navbar renders, it is not
functional. This is another way to test for ungrouped navbars. Grouped
bottom navbars renders as an image in FF, and thus kills the links.

Try again.

Hi David - I've gone back into the file. Everything is ungrouped but the nav
links, and I can't seem to find how to "ungroup" the navigation links. It's
not something I've had to do before, and when I click on the nav button to
edit, which is where the "group/ungroup" option usually is, I can't seem to
find that option. Can you direct me please? The group/ungroup icons above are
also greyed out BTW and cannot be used...
THanks

Never mind - got it. Now have sent the link again to people and just waiting
to see if it works now for those who didn't find it working before.
Thanks

Thanks for posting back. I am assuming that you just missed a step somewhere
along the line while trying to follow the directions for ungrouping
everything on the page and uploading the new pages.

While you should ungroup the whole page to deal with the IE8 compatibility
issue, you can select the navbars > Arrange > Ungroup. The ungroup option
will be "grayed out" if you don't select the navbar first.
