Need a shortcut or icon to see the current calendar month

How would I go about making a shortcut or icon to activate the calendar and
see a page display of the current month - - withh Office XP Pro?

This is easy to do with MS Works, where the program is wkscal.exe. I need
the same thing with XP Pro. Thanks.

Click on the Calendar Icon and have the view set to Month.

Clicking the calendar icon and setting the view to Month lets me see the
calendar. Now I need to save this function as a desktop Icon, where one
click on the icon brings it back this way. (I have been able to do that
easily with MS works - - see below.)

drag the calendar folder icon to the desktop or create a shortcut using the
select switch. To learn more about this switch, see Outlook's Help or
http://www.outlook-tips.net/howto/commandlines.htm#select.

another option is configuring outlook to open directly to the calendar.

Outlook is not Microsoft Works and does not duplicate the way Works
functions.
