Need a splitter macro that preserves source formatting

After performing a merge and running a macro that succesfully preserves text and form fields in the merged docs, I am now in need of a splitter macro that saves the merged docs as individual documents while preserving source fomatting. Any help is appreciated.

I tried that one, and it does not preserve formatting from the original document. I cannot step into the code to update it.

Which formatting are you referring to? If you are referring to text
formatting, how did you apply it (with styles, direct formatting, etc.)?

Note that field codes usually are not preserved during a merge; this has
changed in recent versions of Word.
