need a suggestion for projector

My husband would like to paint a mural in our foyer. I was thinking of
projecting an image we have stored on the computer onto the wall to
create a starting point. We don't need a 4k home theater or expensive
multimedia system, just a simple projector. Any suggestions?

You might be able to borrow an Overhead projector from a local school or
library in your area and put your image onto an OHP. Or you might try a
local computer store for a projector rental. I did the latter for project
earlier this past summer and the 3 day rental cost us around $100.00. I came
with all the software, all I had to provide was the PowerPoint presentation.

Another suggestion...'this one's 'off the wall'' if you'll excuse the pun

Some software (and printer drivers) allow you to print images 'tiled'

So instead of it fitting to one sheet of paper, you can say print this
across 10 bits of paper wide, by 10 bits tall.

You could then put the paper on the wall (or even print to OHPs). then your
husband could use these bits of paper as a guide as to what goes where on
the mural

AWESOME suggestion. My Vietnam Vet husband and I have an antique, but
still functional, slide projector. I LOVE the retro solution. It's an
inexpensive solution and will give us an excuse to pull out all the old
slides......
